I'm thinking of buying one for my XD9 tactical. Do they have good ergos? Is the gen 2.0 much better? Any complaints?

Has anyone tried a CAA conversion kit on here?

you talking about those Roni things?
i think it was guessed that these things are a big grey area due to the fact that the front area where the second magazine goes can be considered a "forward grip" and i believe for a pistol that is a No-No.Originally posted by leelawBecause -ohmigosh- they can add their opinions, too?Originally posted by SoCalSig1911Preppers canceled my order this afternoon because I called them a disgrace... Here you go, no grey area at all. You also need to take in consideration of the new fixed magazine rules as this is from a pretty old post of his.

The kit by itself is CA legal to own/possess and to sell.
Airsoft installed in the kit is CA legal.
A semi-auto pistol that does not have a fixed magazines installed in the kit is CA illegal due to being considered an assault weapon. [PC 30515(a)(4)(B)]
A semi-auto pistol with a fixed magazine installed in the kit would be CA legal*.
^In order to be considered a fixed magazine, the ammunition feeding device needs to be contained in the pistol and it can not be removed without removing the pistol's slide assembly or the ammunition feeding device needs to be permanently affixed (welded/riveted/epoxied) in the pistol's grip.
A manually operated repeating pistol installed in the kit would be CA legal*.
A manually operated single-shot pistol installed in the kit would be CA legal*.
A revolver installed in the kit would be CA legal.
*Would be CA legal depending on if it's configuration violates CA SBR/SBS laws.Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

We have a Gen 1 and a Gen 2, both SBR versions. Both work great with our G17. Just be hyper cautious as to legality in CA.Comment

I thought the fixed mag for pistols is only when the magazine is loaded from outside the grip? So it covers the ar pistols and other similar style pistols.
But an actual handgun doesnt need that fixed mag requirement i thought?Last edited by Scratch705; 06-08-2022, 7:29 PM.Originally posted by leelawBecause -ohmigosh- they can add their opinions, too?Originally posted by SoCalSig1911Preppers canceled my order this afternoon because I called them a disgrace...
