5.56? lots of unburnt powder. Even with long suppressor you'd need special loads to reduce flash signature and velocity would be pitiful. Suppressor life would be seriously reduced let alone full auto capability.

300 BO, better but sweet spot is around 8 inch barrel. Using subsonics with suppressor is cthe at's meow.

Agreed, best length for a short 5.56 is 10.5"-11.5".

I was, but now I see you can unscrew a keymo with just one hand on the end of the can. I thought it was like a Surefire. Most of my cans are YHM, but if I get a Dead Air for a Rattler I may go keymo for it because it looks like they seal better and a Rattler/silencer combo needs all the help it can get.
