Seen any interesting firearms out there in Socal? looking to buy

just sold some stuff from another hobby. have about 4-4500. dont wanna spend it all, but I can.

the guns I have bought have done well in value. very happy with them and I am more confident now moving up the value ladder. sold a few, during the pandemic, sold a Saiga, ooof, that was a mistake.

that said, I am not looking to buy used unless its compelling. the stuff on the for sale forum are mostly over valued.

looking for factory guns, builds dont hold the value well, and in the long run also tend to be less interesting.

Kinda have my eye on a KUSA Kali 9. I'm not in love with the fact that it comes with a fin and a faux suppressor, there are work arounds, but I can live with it. I have AK's and it is what it is.

To the general population, let me know if you see anything interesting out there within 60 miles of Los Angeles?

      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Yes, and also Evolution Sports out in Redlands. If you are in a AK guy, you will love Dan’s shop in Redlands. He has many stock AKs for sale, and he also builds them from the ground up.

FYI- Evolution is closed on Sundays.

I recently purchased three brand new firearms from the marketplace, that I got a good deal on. 1 even below MSRP.

But you should probably go with the others recommendations.
                  Good luck with your search

He said he has guns and has sold guns, probably not a new hobby. Especially since he regrets selling a highly sought after rifle.

He also said that he doesn't want to buy used. Even if someone is selling a NIB gun, it's still used.

Gunbroker. Other than off-roster handguns, which you cannot buy new if you live here, unless you are exempt or only PPT, everything you could ever imagine is on there, plenty of California legal guns and others can be made California legal. Buying bargains from local retail shops can be almost impossible since the gun shortage, very few bargains.

Retail gun stores in California are mostly cookie cutter, I have rarely seen a gun store in the LA area that is very different than what is 10 miles down the road at another gun store. There are a few that specialize in C&R or high end custom firearms, both those don't sound like what you want?

Downside of GB is obviously the FFL transfer fee here, but you can also find better deals. I bought my Smith & Wesson M&P 12 Bullpup shotgun from a dealer in Minnesota for $200 less than anyone in California was selling it for. I've been in ten Southern California LGS over the past three months and there literally were no bargains anywhere. Some so so deals but nothing that made me pull out my credit card.

$1,100, $30.00 shipping plus your dealer transfer fee.

Seems like a fun rifle. Yep, by the time you pay sales tax, DROS and FFL transfer fee, you're probably about even paying sales tax and DROS at Riflegear.

Gunbroker is always a good barometer on if you're getting ripped off at a LGS and I get that an LGS has to pay employees, lease, etc. to survive. I never mind paying a little more at a local gun store but when the price disparity is way out of whack, I'll buy it on Gunbroker and save money. It helps that I have a very good home FFL a few minutes away.

Even if I had not lost my factory chrome plated 100% reliable Raven .25acp in a boating accident I still wouldn't sell or trade it.
