French FRF-1 or 2 or somethingorother. Neat rifle showing just what can be accomplished when you start with a MAS 36 and think outside the box. Hopefully I will still be alive when they sell them as surplus 50 years after they are taken out of service.

HaHa! I read through that story but knew the guy was a fake from the very beginning of the article. Reminds of the wannabe character in "True Lies" they called "Carlos the Jackal". Too funny.

Legionnaires are rarely French Nationals (at least that's how I remember it).

Anyway, if you can't make fun of the French, who can you ridicule? All the others have advocacy (victim) groups.

The French army has great stuff! Dropped once in soft sand. However the Legionnaires rifles are well used and have a tradition of kicking ***.
