I remember seeing your post about changing your name to delayed as a reverse psychology type of thing hahaha

I started telling all my friends who are not on calguns to be aware of these dros delays and always ask the FFL before you pay

Sadly true. Even some here on CG. Where one would believe that resistance to 2A infringements would be strongest. Choose to bow to the Goddess Kamala. Because it was her that FALSELY claimed that FFLs have such discretion. Back in 2014, when pc 28220 [4] was codified. Which created the "Undetermined Status" for DROS delays.

Every time this subject has come up for years. I've asked those same Kamala believers to prove their premise. None have managed to do so. Since it is a well known fact, that it is impossible to prove a negative.

Proper to blame DOJ for a delay based on their own incompetence. But the blame for refusal to release on an "undetermined status". Belongs squarely on the FFL for being a DICK. For not following the black letter of the law.

Got my first delay ever today. Another guy was there to pick up 2 rifles he DROS'd at the same time. He got approved for one, delayed on the other.

Just to test things out I bought some ammo and had no issue, so I'd love for someone to explain that to me.

From I have gathered the ammo "data base " is separate from the DOJ background check (which is also seperate from the federal background check .

It is my understanding that the $1 ammo check. Is a simple AFS query to confirm the buyer has a firearm registered to them in AFS.

If that is a bust, which often happens, since you can legally own dozens, if not more, guns in Ca with none in AFS. You have to pay for the $19 deep dive. Which is an actual BG check.

It seems I'm just another casualty of California's ****ery, because I've purchased several guns at this address, have REAL ID, and dotted all my i's and crossed my t's. Nothing on my end that would prevent a legal purchase.

My purchasing has slowed down the last couple years, and up until today I've been blissfully ignorant to this problem. Had no idea it's become such a common occurrence. The FFL I'm going through said roughly 15% of their customers get delayed now which is absolutely insane to me.

I never was giving a chance or opportunity to vote on the majority of these ", enactments" it seems like I wake up in the morning there's a new infringement that was put into effect in the middle of the night . Almost like a politician gets an idea on Tuesday evening and by Wednesday morning it's law .
