It is my understanding that the $1 ammo check. Is a simple AFS query to confirm the buyer has a firearm registered to them in AFS.

If that is a bust, which often happens, since you can legally own dozens, if not more, guns in Ca with none in AFS. You have to pay for the $19 deep dive. Which is an actual BG check.

Basic $1.00 if they process as required.

(b) To determine if the purchaser or transferee is eligible to purchase or possess ammunition pursuant to paragraph (1) of subdivision (a), the department shall prohibited from owning or possessing ammunition by cross-referencing with the Prohibited Armed Persons File. If the purchaser or transferee is prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm, the transaction shall be denied.

This should cover the FFL for releasing on undetermined.
1) has a current identification/match
2) has current record of firearm ownership/possession.
3) is not listed in Prohibited Armed Persons File.

Has the $19.00 version ever come back as undetermined for ammunition sale?

How about our freeways? Or that high speed train? Better yet, blame the water shortage on global warming even though we had a bad drought before yet more housing and malls since the 80s?
Don't get me started. Happy I finally got my rock island. But this state is not what it used to be.
We used to be a proud state. Best hunting and fishing, but now it's all gone. State only cares about illegals, drug addicts, homeless and criminals.
Why else would so many folks who have been delayed? [emoji20]
