      Get a G22 or G23. Or even an XD.40
I shoot my G22 better than any other pistol I own. My wife doesn't care for the G23 but has no issues shooting the G22..and prefers it to shooting anything .45
      Go figure.

Remember it's just another tool. Either get something to put that ammo thru or sell the ammo. But if you feel at this point you have enough of the other calibers..why not get a .40?

I picked up a G17 today. Only because it was available. I would've preferred a G23. That's next on my list.

My G31 came with a additional factory .40 barrel. I've mainly shot .40 since it's cheaper and less snappy than .357 Sig.

I guess everyone is a little different, I prefer the .357 Sig and find it less snappy than the .40SW. The only reason I have .40 barrels is that when police departments were embracing the .40 I figured the ammo would be mass-produced and cheaper than the .357Sig.

            500 300 WeaMag

In what world are you expecting to need 500 rounds of 300 Weatherby? Myself, I only keep maybe 100 rounds for my actual hunting rifles. Hell, I got my main deer rifle in 1977 and there's no way it has 500 rounds through it even now. 3 sighters and maybe 2 in the field is 5 rounds a season tops. For magnums or big game cartridges I'll get 2 boxes and maybe some brass. For the life of the rifle.

My West German Mk V probably weighs 7 lbs. Might hurt less in the end to just let those elk trample me..

IMHO, I own or have owned almost every handgun made, since I started collecting in the 70's. 9mm is fun, 45 is for serious work but 40 is the best of both calibers. It has the velocity of a 9mm, the bullet weight of a 45 and the mag capacity of 15-16 rounds.

There's a reason that PD's teach their 9mm carrying officers to mag dump in a shooting situation. 95% of LEO approved ammo is garbage and won't stop bad guys until the 7-10th center mass shot. 40 & 45 are much more effective, especially with HP that expand well.
