Buy a Glock 20 and shoot both 10mm and 40S&W out of it.

The typical CG answer is ‘yes’ or ‘buy both’, depending on the question.

        Personally, I like the 40.

Buy a Ruger PC carbine in .40 S&W and that case of ammo will get used up alarmingly fast.

Thats a great idea as 10mm packs lots of power . IIRC it was too hot for FBI use. J Edgar Hoover who recruited marksman, is spinning in his grave over that thought .

True that's why I bought 40lbs of once fired brass and 8 boxes of Xtreme plated bullets. That will take me to 5000 (yes I had primers and powder already). That gets me to my general rule of 5,000 rounds per caliber. But I don't always follow that rule. I've only got 300 rounds of 458 WinMag and 500 300 WeaMag on the flip side there's almost 30,000 rounds of 22LR socked away.

just trade the 40 ammo for 9mm or whatever else you need. 500 round limit per month should take you 2 months to be rid of it

why don't you go rent sig or cz .40 and see if you like it.

I like the idea of buying a 10mm and use the 40 for practice. Personally I like shooting 9mm and 45acp. The 40 is an in between.. I’ve owned a 10 mm (Colt Delta) since the Late 80s .. never put a 40S&w through it though.

No. Not in the slightest. 👍

I like 40 a lot and have great confidence in its performance. Some people say they have trouble shooting it well but I think that varies person to person a d gun to gun.

There's no reason on earth to dump this caliber unless cost is your over-riding concern. Smaller bullets will always cost less as lead and copper aren't free.
