If I win the lotto, I'll donate to this cause, though it seems to be a bad move with my " hard earned " money.

USI has been floundering for several years under the current president. A true leader would have addressed the hemorrhage of cash months ago.
Daily operating expenses must be cut drastically. The R/P range has way too many paid RSO's. Presently there are in the neighborhood of 45 paid employees. As a cost cutting measure, this number must be reduced drastically. Volunteers who receive free range time as incentive can fill this gap.
A change of leadership certainly could not hurt.
We will do as we will do because I am me and you are you.

When it closed in oct 2014 it was one SCREW UP after another. When I was in the Brentwood R & G Club I stayed with it for one more year, nonsense after soon this, soon that, revolving managers etc. When it finally opened in middle of the fake china virus bug every other station was not used, hours waiting for what shooting station were open it was obvious ( masks required ) the range was not for my use ever again. I am in Tennessee now and I am only commenting on this thread because of the mess it STILL is in.

As a Walnut Creek member I don't shoot enough to justify spending $200 for a yearly USI membership in addition to the WC Club membership. It's not a lack of ammo that keeps me from the range; it's simply time. With this new plan being implemented I might finally let my WC membership lapse.

I was thinking of going this weekend for the first time in 6+ months; maybe I'll make it a point of going before I lose my discount.

Worth bumping; the WC membership email indicates that the $200 yearly USI membership is only available to club members from May 4th - July 12th. On July 13th the price for club members will then increase to $250.

If I'm reading it wrong, or other info has been shared to other club members, let me know and I'll correct the post.

I wonder if anyone over there is listening. CNN+ made more sense than this and will fail spectacularly. Did they speak to members before making this decision? Who actually thought it could would work? Throwing good money after bad, and getting insulted and yelled at for the privilege. No thanks.

It will be a shame to lose another bay area range. I went this afternoon and had a good day. Everybody was cool and no attitudes from anyone. The range really needs to get some sort of advertising going especially now that the C-19 is over and people can come out of their caves. Invite everyone out for a two-for-one day or coupon day or some sort of taco truck food and fun day. Something, anything to get people out to the range and the word out.

Make the check-in process quick and simple. Same with getting a blue(purple?) card. Have extra hands on deck to make sure there are no staff shortages. Same with ammo. And have a big meeting to make sure all of the staff are on their best behavior.

Happy to pay the $200 or more for the use of this facility. As a member of the Concord club I can't imagine a cheaper country club you belong to. Stop being cheap skates. Most of you old dogs are millionaires and then some. let's keep this thing alive

Yes. I was talk specifically about the coupon day or whatever day. Make sure there are hands on deck for a quick and easy check-in, purchase of ammo and to get their blue/purple card.
