Hey all, how are background check delays?

Hey there names Jo, I'm a first timer and I'm very excited to join. Just purchased my first .38 Special Snubby and I'm waiting for the background check. I was wondering if anyone from CA had any delays recently. My dealer seemed pretty optimistic at first but now he's saying there's a good chance I could get delayed. I'm just trying to get an idea because if I have to wait about 3 weeks I'll have to change some plans for a trip.

I was able to pickup a firearm just over a week ago after waiting only the required 10 days. No issues whatsoever.

As a result of several recent threads, I asked at a LGS last week. I was told that particular shop hadn't been experiencing virtually any delays and the very few they had typically involved the usual issues... similar names, prior arrests (even if no trial/conviction), etc.

I've bought five guns in three transactions over the past three weeks. No delays, bought four of them with my FFL03 + COE and picking up another Tuesday. No delays or issues for me.
Ammo Bros Miramar, Ammo Bros Santa Ana, Camarillo Gun Store and my home FFL.

I haven't had any delays, although many Calgunners have reported that they have, it's starting to become a more prevalent issue, I guess just cross your fingers and hope everything goes through smooth

I did a dros last week here in so cal no delay. Only delay is if unvaxxed rhen triggers delay for being a danger to others (LOL) Only way around it is do like texans do is get stump broke horse and give ivermectin and get prophylaxis that way.

I haven't had a delay in the last 5 or 6 droses I did. Had one go 18 days about a year and a half ago during covid. Also had one go the full 30 days about 3 years ago but luckily it was a mom and pop shop so they gave me the gun after the dros came back undetermined.

Wow thanks for the support. Well it's two days in and my rights feel infringed. Now I wish I was back in New Mexico, just go to the swap meet and I'm done.

And yes, that 10 days is torture of the worst kind; just went through it a few weeks ago. Agony! :-(

Oh It's been 13 days so I'm just seething over here. The 30th will be 30 days so up to 2 1/2 more weeks. I'm hoping it's just about my name or something and not my record which is clean now.

Just got a call from the shop about a delay for g17 and stag stripped receiver

Today is day 7 of the 10 day waiting period
