    Sp101 I returned to GrabaGun

I ordered this "new" sp101 from them and after an unusually long shipping wait time this is what my ffl got. He said he personally would return it as well. Wonder what you guys think

I would have kept it and called Ruger. They would have paid to have it shipped back to them. They would have fixed it and sent it back to you free of charge. They probably would have sent you a little something extra for the inconvenience.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Hmm that's actually a worthy option ill consider next time thank you. Sometimes though I don't want to deal with stuff like this when I'm paying extra to get it new and free of issues. Had something similar happen a car dealership with body panels not being lined up(NOT a Tesla lol). You buy new so you don't have to deal with shipping back, repairs, etc..

I buy new for exactly this reason. You're covered for these little mishaps.

Though a lot of companies will also take care of the product regardless of who owns it or if they are the original owner. Just an FYI, Ruger is a company that will take care of it regardless.

What is it you're concerned with? I really didn't see anything in the pic's besides a new gun.

Unfired maybe, not new condition in my opinion if I have to polish it or whatever work would be required to remove that stuff in the pics. Looks like rust but I'm not sure, I tried scratching it off and wiping it to no avail

when i picked up my last BNIB Ruger the first thing i did was completely disassemble it and check everything

that was because during the course of polishing my first bought Ruger i discovered that the spring in the trigger guard was completely rusted - this was a revolver that i had purchased just a couple of weeks earlier

when i contacted Ruger the customer service rep told me that although my revolver was sent out brand new it may have sat in their warehouse for a few months and the moisture in that warehouse probably rusted the spring

it actually seemed plausible to me, still, Ruger sent me out a new spring and i went ahead and oiled it up and put it in

you'll find many "rough" edges with Ruger revolvers - i spent a fair amount of time polishing them smooth which was ok by me, my intent was to give it a good polish job regardless - it turned out pretty good

I didnt read any of that because all I saw was a sexy gp100. JK, but nice grips man and it sure is shiny. Stock sp101 grips are alright but they gotta go, let me know if you have suggestions where to look

Grubagun doesn't inspect guns, they just ship them of the shelf. I would have kept it and if anything, I would have shipped it back to Ruger with letter expressing my concerns. Ruger has excellent CS, if there anything out of spec, they would have fixed it.

I exchanged a 1911 that I bought from GrabaGun. My FFL noticed a big gouge in the slide when he was checking the serial number and recommended I return it. I filed a return with GrabaGun and they emailed me a shipping label the next day so shipping was free. My FFL was cool about packing it up and mailing it back.

Exactly, now I know. I'll always refer to them as grubagun from now on

Yup, same exact situation here. They're good about the returns but still.
