Yeah they are. With Buds, Impact etc, small dealers can not compete. I throw my one and only FFL a bone once in a while but mostly I buy from the big boys and have him do the transfer for a few pennies. Most of the time his prices are $100 +/- what I can get online. I hate it but money is money these days

Sorry to hear we’re losing another brick & mortar store. I’m no longer close to them but used to visit them every so often and made a few gun purchases there. It seems I would always buy something when I went there.

They most likely closed because they got tired of dealing with bs from the state, ATF, california customers and general crap that gun stores deal with. They saw the writing on the wall took their money and moving on.

But here is the best part. ALL you guys who think gun stores are BS and have complained about high prices and bad customer service…….. and they GOUGE people …here is your chance to make things right. buy the gun store from this guy, and then you can offer free PPT and discounts to everyone.

Just remember for every person who comes on here and screams F THESE GUYS AT XYZ gun store lots of people read it and they may not be members but the subject comes up in searches. So….They didn’t roll out the red carpet for me on my $30 ammo purchase or $40 PPT. Im talking my money and going somewhere else. Ill never shop there again. They are rude wah wah wah.
Considering how anti gun this state is you may find yourself only dealing with Turners Big 5 and Sportsman Warehouse to buy guns.PPT? yes sir we do those. You’ll need a appointment for that sir. 5th Thursday of every month between the hours of 8 and 9…we open at 10. See you soon..thank you for shopping gun world incorporated. We’re here for you.

I did a PPT there, the owner handled it promptly and politely. I actually commented that he was nicer than most and he replied with something like "it's part of the business and we hope you'll come back and buy more stuff from us." Out of gratitude I picked up a box of HP for the gun I was transferring (I was the buyer).

i went there yesterday. been there 3 times since December.

the business is packed with a waiting list. took about 30mins to speak to someone.

there are some handguns on sale (about $75-100 off). I don't see any reduction on long guns. the display cases of optics are largely untouched and full still. if you have time, shop around as there are some good deals I think.

Anytime we loose a gun store in California it hurts as they are becoming less and less. If we want gun stores around every time you do a private party transfer buy something from the store or someday all we will have are big chain stores

Thanks for the insight into being a dealer here in the Bay Area and the local economics. Making retail rent, month after month is no joke; especially with the closures during the height of the pandemic.

Bought many a gun there including my first AR. Gary, the staff, and Vader (RIP) were great and I'm sorry to see the shop close.
