Hi all,
Question, I just bought an AR 15 pistol its a Franklin armory CA7. My Question is, is it ok to change the upper and buffer tube and put a mag lock on it to make it shoot semi and is it legal to do that here in California? This is my first ar pistol.

You won't get a firm answer either way. I suggest you read the CA7 thread from beginning to end, and then do what you are comfortable with.

I also have a ca7 and did swap uppers. But that's just me.

I suggest visiting nevada more often if you would like semi auto. It is ok to own a semi auto upper thats for sure.
