building one now hope they dont make it too difficult but if so ill just add a stock and do the NFA paperwork.

Military doesn't need a tax stamp and civilian owners may not want to pay for a tax stamp or (if you're like me) live on the border of another state where it's easier to go shooting, so want to retain "pistol" status.
While I'd never try to argue the practicality of a Kity-Kat, I think my 12.5 inch AR is accurate and handles well. It also has so little recoil that a solid stock isn't an absolute necessity.Comment

It looks like beginning of August they'll be announcing their new rulings on pistol braces. We'll most likely know the full extent of the new rules in August but i imagine they will give 3-6 months to make the necessary changes, if there will be any at all. I'm still praying for a Hail Mary.Comment
