I have used FEDEX 3 Day Service (NOT Ground) in the past year to send a revolver to a dealer on the East Coast. Cost was under $25.00, including the FEDEX Box. I also had a copy of the dealer's FFL in my possession. I do not think they asked to see it. I simply kept my copy and put another copy inside the box.
Good luck.

Shipping a handgun via FedEx 3 Day Service only violates FedEx rules and does not violate any laws. So while you don't have to worry about any criminal charges, you could be in danger of losing out on any insurance claim with FedEx if they lose or damage your handgun in transit.I have used FEDEX 3 Day Service (NOT Ground) in the past year to send a revolver to a dealer on the East Coast.
