Based on known information - here are my few cents'
      • What do you mean by proper grip? You can have a good grip - but how do you maintain the grip throughout the firing cycle? How about your wrists? Arms, shoulder, etc? Fundamentals of recoil management - it is not only the grip.
      • Mechanical? I have some Glocks that jam because my high hold on the gun interferes with the OEM extended slide lock/release lever. Switching to the standard OEM addressed the problem.
      • Ammo? Are you using factory? Or purchased reloads?

Can you define "jamming"... Do you mean limp wristing?

          ^^^^
Limp wristing is probably the first thing to check.

If you have some friends that are experienced shooters, have them check your grip and mechanics.

          What ammo are you using?

            GLOCK G17 jam?

what generation is your new G17? is it a CA GEN 3?

does it have the original plastic recoil spring guide rod or some type of aftermarket metal guide rod / recoil spring assembly?

Limp wrist if, ammo, or mag. Most likely limp wrist.

Would say need more information on the type of jam. Is it firing and failing to pull the case out? Failing to pick up another round? Two rounds getting stuck? Not going fully into battery after firing?

Have a friend take video of you shooting and playback slow motion to see if you notice anything, zoom in to the action slide. Let us know what ammo you are using, is it your range's own reloads or factory?

Go to a range with an experienced shooter and he might be able to diagnose the problem.

Or maybe post a video so people can see.

Vague posts like this just leads to more questions.
