Is there an FFL that will release to undetermined status?

Hey Cal gunners, Friend went to buy a new firearm recently. paper work was returned "unknown status" shop would not release. Is there an FFL out there willing to sell new guns to someone that may have this problem? in the Bay Area. He has recently spent hours on the phone with DOJ and the FBI with no resolution. They said they're two years behind.

Sure there are. But since you didn't mention where your friend is no on will be able to point out a good dealer.
