    Ammo subscription

Not sure if they are going to work with those of us that have C&R and COE.

Federal Ammunition has announced a new subscription program in which consumers can receive five boxes of ammunition delivered to their doorstep every month.

    EDIT

    Here's the link to Federal's site. $28 a box for 9MM AE. https://www.federalpremium.com/handgun/subscriptions/

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

12 month commitment and free shipping for those that are fatigued waiting in line and checking around for ammo. I'm pretty sure they worked the shipping into it and it won't be cheap.

Price is a little high for my taste. The 9 mm is 56 cents/round, before tax.

I like the concept but it’s like any other subscription service where they’ll have a yearly price hike that’ll be beyond inflation. I’d rather back order and prepay for 5k rounds that show up whenever hey get to my name on the list.

It's not a bad idea If they are able to deliver each month while keeping the price in check.
I wonder what their California plan is.

OP, what do you think about it ?

I thought Federal was already sending ammo direct to people who can receive them. This is just a guarantee I guess?

This is a good sign, regardless of price, I see this as a business decision to hedge a potential downward market from the manufacture's point of view.

Otherwise, why wouldn't they ride out rising prices?

I like the idea too. It's not for me though. I reload and I do have a C&R and COE so I can order from a number of people and have it sent home. I can also visit (and do) other states and bring ammo home.

If it wasn't for the C&R and COE thing CA has in place it probably wouldn't be a bad thing for those who have problems finding ammo on a regular basis.
