Yup, I have seen that video a few times.You can try shooting PPC league in Reed's Indoor. The guys there know their stuff and will give advise that will help you get better. They even have the following nifty target posted up on their website:

be comfortable with the recoil and blowback.. you cant be flinching to shoot properly.. the fear of the concussion causes severe accuracy issues, before and after the shot..
I always used to dip the gun before pulling the trigger, however the blast doesnt affect my accuracy anymoresigpicComment

Buy a Mark III ($250) it's a .22 pistol. The ammo is cheap and start at 10 yards. Move the target progressively back every 10 shots.

Use the .40 only for dry fire practice, shoot the .22lr at the range.
Dry fire something like 100 times for every live shot you're gonna fire at the range. Pick a small spot on the wall to aim at, put the center of the top of your front sight on it, and squeeeeeeezzzeeee....click. Repeat. Remember to keep your focus razor sharp on the front sight, and that front sight should not have moved one iota from the spot you were aiming at throughout the entire trigger pull process. Your job is to get the hammer to fall w/o disturbing that sight picture one bit. Program that into your muscle memory.
When you're at the range, you want to do the same thing. IOW, pretend that the chamber's empty. Squeeeeezzzeee....click. If you do it right, you'll hit what you're aiming at. If someone mixes in snap caps w/ your live ammo at the range, you can check if you're doing it right--when the snap cap comes up, did your front sight dip? If so, back to the dry fire you go. If not, give yourself a pat on the back.

Miguel, an .40 with its snappy recoil is not optimal to be the first high caliber gun for precise target shooting. Given that, since you already got it, make the most with it. When/if you ever find my .45 ammo for me, we can hook up and go to a range to shoot. I'll try to help then...Comment

Update from todays range:
Shoot 100 rounds today through the P226 40SW.
I took the recommendation of the focus on first sight and that worked very
well. I also needed to aim a little to the right and up. I used these shoot n c 7" oval targets, but laid them horizontal. I would hit the 10 and 9 mark all the time @ 10 yards.
I tried to just pick up the pistol and shoot at center, but would be above and below the 7" diameter. I was center though, which is good.
I also shot the Mosquito and had no issues with hitting the 10 yards with it. Next time I am going to push it back another click at 15 yds.
I got burnt about 4-5 times with the casings of the 22lr. Those fuggers are hot, nothing like the 40cal.
I have been dry shooting and practicing with the trigger. Thank yo all for the suggestions.

I used to shot about a basket ball size group at 10 yards now i shoot tennis to golf ball size groups. And when i say group i mean over 75 rounds on same target. I think 10yards is fine, there is no reason to shoot farther. Just make a nice small hole closer. My worst problem is flinching, i dont like loud noises. Theres nothing like loading snapcaps and live rounds and watching your muzzle flip 3 inchs on a non-live round to show you your problem.
The best advise, Aim small miss small, BUY the 25 yard pistle/rifle targets that are about the size of a piece of paper.
