Who cares? If you didn't see the gun itself, then it wasn't exposed. Personally, I could care less if you thought I was carrying a pistol. If anything, I want some bad guy knowing I am going to be a problem. They might decide to go some place else. And if they single me out, then it is my time to go maybe.

I was at the airport once, a guy dressed in plainclothes who I am guessing was a dog handler LE was having his pooch sniff and devour some poor guy's carry-on luggage. The dog bit into it over and over, and they searched him pretty thoroughly, but came up empty handed. I felt sorry for the poor guy.
But anyway, the dog handler guy, he had a Glock subcompact tucked in a SOB holster (small of the back). Every time he bent over to re-focus his dog, or to search the bag, his Glock was showing in plain view for all to see. It was meant to be concealed based on his method of carry, yet it wasn't really concealed. I would suggest that he also revisit his carry method.

I'll give you $20 to go to him from behind, press your finger onto his back and tell him "Please don't be alarmed. This is not a gun. I'm just a very tall man."A guy came into my work today wearing a Winchester hat, shorts, a white USMC t-shirt, and a big baggy gray jacket. He was very polite and as I was ringing him up I realized that it was way too hot out for him to be wearing that jacket.
It was seriously sweltering out and our AC was busted. I watched while he was walking out and I spotted a bulge on his right side under the jacket. I'm thinking I spotted someone carrying concealed.FUS RO DAH! ==== ┻━┻Comment

I believe a local gunshop owner was carrying a Glock in an SOB holster when he was in an auto accident that should have been a minor one. It turned out that carrying that way caused some major back problems that left him barely walking with sticks for some time and a whole lot of "discomfort".
I would imagine that with a CCW privilege, "concealed means concealed", and one would not be revealing the weapon unless you were close to death or in fear of it or grave bodily injury. It becomes a nasty surprise to a threat who doesn't know you are armed and isn't expecting it."It's not the excessive driving speed that kills you..it's the sudden stop."Comment

In today's age with the many different types of concealment options and IWB holsters, that is just plain rediculous.
I carry a SIG P239 concealed almost every day and with my crossbreed supertuck holster I can wear a t-shirt and the gun just disappears...Comment

It is precisely for this reason that I'm not a big fan of "SOB" carry - opens you up to too many chances of injury. I also think it opens up the user to exposing the method of carry a bit too easily, as it is harder to control what happens behind you as opposed to having it in front.I believe a local gunshop owner was carrying a Glock in an SOB holster when he was in an auto accident that should have been a minor one.
