Range memberships?

it's so worth it especially when you get the private bay. you don't have to deal with other people, don't have to waste time with cease fire, run at your own pace, all in the comfort of privacy.

How is Raahauge's on weekdays? I usually go weekends and there's always lines.

Sometimes no wait, other times maybe 20 minutes. I'm retired so I go on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

How many of you have a range membership?

It feels more common nowadays than in the past. I went to the indoor range today only to be told that the range was all reserved out in advance.

Before, first come first serve, unless reserved by a range member. But seeing that some ranges allow reservations with a fee, it feels like it's more common.

I know, late night sessions are best. But I'm curious. I only hold a range membership for an outdoor range, and it's never packed.

I am a member of two ranges; West End Gun Club, a private outdoor club and the Firing Line. I never "reserve a range" as I never like to go there when its busy and full of morons turning pistol targets into shotgun targets...

I am retired and live in Apple Valley, so the Apple Valley Gun Club suits me. There is an indoor range, but it is rimfire and airgun only, is limited to 50 ft and you have to go through training to use it (air filtration, etc) and I haven't bothered. Covered ranges, multiple pistol bays, lighting for night shooting until 10 PM and usually pretty vacant during weekdays, especially fairly early AM.

When I was still in CA I had a membership to Lincoln Rifle Club and would shoot every Thurday at lunchtime. Never had to wait for a bench. It was $170 for the year.

Now in Utah I pay $175 a year for the indoor range for the cold winter months and 15 inches to BLM for warm weather shooting.

5~10-mins out from home is an indoor range. 25-yards and open until 11pm.

Although there are lots of restrictions, etc. good enough for me to get my regular intake of #pewPew. If I come in at 10pm - most of the questionable peeps have left the range… Membership is $350…

Personally, I would go for a membership with Route 66 or FT3 as they allow more dynamic shooting. Albeit, the distance/drive is not worth it…

I have a membership to an indoor range as well. My place sounds a little more pricey @ $60 a month. It's a members only club. It's not open to the public. For me, it's the convenience more than anything else. There is never a wait. I have the place to myself more times than not. 3yds out to 33yds I think. Holster work is allow with a CCW. They offer training classes. Plus, I can have ammo shipped there. So far, I'm glad I joined.

I love the range that I belong to, a gate key allows me to shoot anytime.

Go during the week and usually have the place to myself, or go on a Saturday morning and shoot trap with the old(er) guys.

The only downside is that the owner sells range time to wannabe "Tactical Ted" instructor types, doing CCW classes. I've watched some of the stuff they teach newbies to our sport, and it straight up scares the **** out of me.

I am a member of Richmond Rod & Gun. Totally worth it!
Great RO's, very reasonable fees as a member. A plus for me, as a sea kayaker, is their boat ramp at the end of the spit past the trap/skeet fields.
I usually shoot on Wednesday's and avoid the weekend crowds.
Lastly, if you have a Garand and like shooting it, this is the club!

Are you talking about La Puente? I haven't been there before and I'm local as well. How is it? I heard mixed reviews about that range.
