    Range memberships?

How many of you have a range membership?

It feels more common nowadays than in the past. I went to the indoor range today only to be told that the range was all reserved out in advance.

Before, first come first serve, unless reserved by a range member. But seeing that some ranges allow reservations with a fee, it feels like it's more common.

I know, late night sessions are best. But I'm curious. I only hold a range membership for an outdoor range, and it's never packed.

I am. Reservations have actually been much better than rolling the dice.

I agree, especially since COVID a lot of ranges have been cutting the lanes. I remember last year the average wait at a local range was ~1hr.

            Yes

I got on a private range waiting list.

            It's a fantastic range.

Definitely worth it. Membership typically has perks such as free gun rentals and reduced price for guests.

Ever since ammo prices went up, I've been hesitant on indoor range prices as I would dump ammo faster than an outdoor range. Maybe we'll get there again.

I'm a member of two. Indoor, The Firing Line in Huntington Beach, $150 a year for unlimited range time.

And Outdoor, Raahauge's in Corona, $550 a year for two hours per day, Monday thru Friday only.

                    Neither takes reservations.

Nope, I live $20 gas close to a blm where I can shoot steel and blow up tannerite. Maybe one day I will pay to play at Sacramento Valley for their steel, 1000, and shoothouse...

I am…a small facility run by volunteers who need a little support. It is a clean, well kept, hand gun, rifle and clays course. It almost burnt down this year in the Dixie fire…
Wilson Protector .45, Springer 9mm Loaded, Franchi Instinct SL .12ga. and some other cool stuff for the kiddos...

I am a bit further than $20 gas to BLM but use that opposed to being a member at a range. Beed thinking about joining one tho.

Would be interesting to see some one blow up tannerite on BLM in Ca.

20 year member of Ukiah Rifle and Pistol Club, $200.00/year about 7 1/2 miles from home. Large shotgun trap range, rifle range and two handgun ranges all outdoors. RFID prox-card entry, sign-in at kiosk and go shoot. No reservations and typically no ROs present, all on the honor system.

Membership available to those with sponsor or if without must appear before the BOD for interview. About 1,000 members I think. Lots of scheduled activities and classroom instruction, often open to the public. Excellent CCW and CCW refresher courses. NRA membership required.

We have Cow Mountain BLM land across the valley (within view of our house) but it is pretty rough and tumble. I only go there for tests I cannot run at our member range (hi-cap mag rapid fire dumps for instance).

How is Raahauge's on weekdays? I usually go weekends and there's always lines.
