The part about "Teach a man to fish and you'll feed him for a lifetime" line is that once a man really learns how to fish, he spends all his money on fishing gear and fishing trips. Then he gets divorced and he's then forever broke and hungry. If you build a man a fire, you'll keep him warm for the evening. If you set a man on fire, you'll keep him warm for the rest of his life.Comment

I gotta respectfully disagree. The ship is not "going down." The ship is setting a new course for the Supreme Court. And we pretty much knew that was going to be the outcome all along.Originally posted by IshootforbloodIt's seems like we're just rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic. Doesn't matter what we do; it's going down.
We also have an apparent new development that may prove helpful in the Supreme Court. The NYSPRA v Bruen case was recently argued before the Court. A lot of the Justice's questions seemed to question the use of Intermediate Scrutiny in that case. If their decision finds that Strict Scrutiny is the required standard for review of Second Amendment cases, then look for Duncan (as well as other similar cases) to be quickly disposed of at the Supreme Court.
The process of "Grant, Vacate, and Remand (GVR)" is often used to quickly dispose of cases that were pending when the Supreme Court decides a related case. Rather than give the pending cases the full treatment, the Court grants a hearing, vacates the lower court decision, and remands the case for handling per the prior decision. It's kinda a legal way of saying "Ditto."Last edited by RickD427; 12-02-2021, 12:48 PM.If you build a man a fire, you'll keep him warm for the evening. ??. Yes we do. The law as written says all 10+ magazines are illegal to possess, period. No grandfather, no registration. (though exemptions for LEO etc.). The 9th Circuit just agreed the law is good as it is written. If the SC overturns it, then the whole law is removed and irrelevant. It's really only one or the other.Comment

Looking for any help on this. I'm not sure if it's been discussed as I couldn't find anything specifically on it.
If I go shooting and take a rifle with features and one without features, are there any issues with me having a 30-round freedom week magazine with me? I know you cannot put the 30 rounder in the rifle with features, but are there any issues with me having it?
IE; should I only take the 30-rounder when I only have the featureless rifle? Or as long as I'm not using the magazine in the featured rifle I'm okay?
My rifle bags have spots for magazines to sit in while transporting. If it's okay to have, is there any issues having them sitting in the same bag as the featured rifle? Or should I keep them somewhere else?
Might be a dumb question, but just want to make sure I'm okay and not falling into a gray area.
People need understand there are multiple weapon type
Featureless rifle - 30round ok
Fix-mag rifle - no ok
BB rifle - no ok
Original AW ban/registered rifle - okComment

Except now with the recent decision, any magazine over 10 rounds would be illegal. Once the injunction is lifted. No matter what type firearm is used.Comment

There's the proverbial "Failure to Communicate" going here.
"ARDude" is right on point.
Penal Code section 32310 makes the possession of ALL Large-Capacity Magazines illegal (although there are some exceptions contained in other statutes, none of them apply to ordinary folks).
There is no "Grandfathering."
The Ninth Circuit has just upheld the constitutionality of PC 32310. The corresponding Mandate to that decision has not yet been issued, but should be forthcoming shortly.
Judge Benetiz's injunction against enforcement of portions of PC 32310 is still in effect, but you should expect that it will be lifted as soon as the Mandate is issued.
Once that occurs, and if no other stay is issued, then the simple possession of a large-capacity magazine, regardless of when it was acquired, can be prosecuted. If you build a man a fire, you'll keep him warm for the evening. If you set a man on fire, you'll keep him warm for the rest of his life.Comment
