      Dros Question

This is for the people asking what type of rifle I got. It is a Tommy Built receiver model: TG36 on a GSG9 G36k German parts kit chambered in 5.56. This is my first rifle.

BTW OP, on the grip fin, did they make it so that most of the fin is on the left side so you can use some of the grip as a palm swell or is it like what S&W does on the M&Ps with it right in the middle?

Which shop did the original DROS?

I had ordered a receiver from out of state that was CA complaint and was drosed to me successfully. After finding a compatible parts kit to assemble the featureless rifle I had to send it back to the out of state to the ffl from which I bought the receiver due to specials tools required to assemble the rifle correctly. I was warned by my ffl once the rifle was shipped back to CA it will have to be re drosed. On my tenth day I’m waiting for the rifle I was notified by my ffl that the DOJ put a delay on my dros. I asked my ffl why they did that and he couldn’t give me answer. He just told me whenever they take it off, I’ll call you. I honestly have never had this happens to me I’ve bought multiple firearms under all the same information. Hope someone can help me :/

That’s weird. I’ve sent rifles ad pistols out of state for repairs and I never had to re DROS the weapon. The only time I had to do a DROS was when a pistol couldn’t be repaired and they sent me a new pistol and I had to get it at the FFL. But that was a whole new firearm.

They possibly probably held thenDROS because you’re doing a DROS on a firearm you already own

That would be my guess too.
It's suspect that the firearm that's already registered to a person would need to be RE-DROS'd so soon after it was originally DROS'd.

That FFL is definitely a wanker.
