Why 30mm tube, that limits your options.

    Zero Compromise Optics
    Nightforce
    Kahles
    S&B

You can look at the NX8 line for the 30mm tube. But that wouldn't be a determining factor

So many options so little money!

Another CalGunner referred me to Liberty Optics about this time last year and I picked up a Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56 FFP EBR-7C (MRAD) on sale for about $1700.

Watch their Snipers Hide sales page and Black Friday sale.

Sure, I really wanted a NightForce ATACR 7-35x56mm F1, but given that it was more than twice as much as the Vortex... the Vortex won out.... if I ever build/buy a .375 CheyTac then I'll have to get that NighfForce ATACR!

          Any recommendations?
          Kahles
          Leupold (Mark 5HD models)
          Schmidt and Bender
Tangent Theta (if you really want to spend some serious money)
US Optics (though they have declined in recent years)
          Nightforce (ATACR model only)

Also, what's your idea of long range? If inside 1000 yards, you don't need 7-35 or even 5-25... I'm attempting a 2 mile shot on Thursday and high magnification helps substantially as long as the glass is good and mirage isn't too bad.

I strongly recommend mils and a ranging reticle like an H59 (Tremor 3 is a little too busy for me) or similar.

Was gonna say S&B 5x25 or 5x45 PMII since you "don't have a budget". Good choice sir

Kahles, and Tangent Theta are my favorites. When you make that investment, add a SPUHR mount, and then go find a decent rifle to hang underneath.

The Burris XTR3, after the military discount, is a tremendous bargain.

It is a good scope for the price. I've looked through that scope (with Horus reticle) side by side with a Razor HD2, a Leupold Mark 5HD, and a US Optics SN3. The Burris was the dimmest of the 4 which is to be expected given the price point. Still a good scope for the money.

My XTR goes to 40 and goes darker and greyer. One day I'd like to get a Nightforce and see what all the hubub is all about.

Nightforce for the win. I have an NX8 4-32x 50mm with a Tremor 3 reticle. I have this mounted on my Christesen in 6.5 Creedmor. I have only been out to 800 yards with it.

I would narrow down what reticle you want , that will determine the route you would go. I'd wish to have a ZCO, with Tremor 3, with the NX8 2-20 size scope.

I guess I just need to keep all 3 [emoji16]

If you're alright with 36mm tube, Zero Compromise ZC420 or the ZC527 are very nice. I think only TT has slightly better glass. Both are alpha glass with ZC being a bit more affordable.
