    I had to laugh.

I know some people might go sit on the pot without checking to see if they have TP handy or at least in the house so they can yell out for some but doing all the work and then finding out you have no - - - - powder?

I think part of it is that people use different powders but everyone needs the same primers.

I haven't seen Hodgdon Universal available since the pandemic started. Admittedly I haven't looked too hard but every time I have it's been out of stock. Prices have increased as well. Used to be $60 for a 4# jug.

It's $204 for 8lbs on their site now. I'm sure I didn't pay that even a couple months ago. I want to say it was well under $200 delivered.

Since most of the powder used in the US is made in Australia how do you think it will affect our supply?

That's a great point. Full lockdowns for almost 2 years and counting.

                THIS

For the most part, powders can be used for multiple applications, and I've been dipping into my 1 lb bottles I started testing with, and holding back on my pet load bottles for match ammo only.

Also a pound of powder will make more than 1,000 pistol rounds. So it goes a long way relatively speaking.

Now for rifle a pound might barely get you 150 rounds, and that's where I have a problem finding 4895 for 308 and 30-06. I'm just barely meeting my needs, but I don't shoot nearly the same volume so it's still OK.
