Thoughts on Mosin Nagant @ Big 5

They have Mosin Nagants at Big 5 for $99 plus I have a 20% off coupon. So roughly $110 out the door. Is this a good deal for this rifle? Also what should I expect from a C & R from Big 5? They have 3 on the rack and would like to know how to choose the best one? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

They're in all the Las Vegas locations I've been too. Its more like which ones dont have them? There has been at least 2 MN in the 4 Big 5 stores I visited.

$99 is about the best you can expect nowadays. Get one. Everyone needs a Mosin.

Examine the barrel and exercise the action looking for rust and pitting (unless you aren't going to shoot it). Wood can always be repaired or refinished, metal isn't as easy.

Check to see if it has matching numbers. I take it you are looking at a 91/30. Sounds like a good deal.
