Questioning the legality of this firearm

Hi all, I'm looking at this firearm the VRF14
    (link here) https://www.armscor.com/vrf14
I'm wondering what the legality of this would be?
If we were to call it a shotgun it would not be legal due to the barrel being less than 14 inches.
However per California law stated on the flowchart, a shotgun is defined as "made or remade to be fired from the shoulder"

This weapon is made to be fired from the hip.

California legal or not? what are your thoughts?

I think california wants 18" barrel no matter what. But that is considered a 26 longgun.

Not legal in california for multiple reasons. No more thoughts needed.

Did anyone else catch Rock Islands slogan at the top of the page?

        Shoot smart, Shoot a rock.

Under CA it would be considered a Short Barreled Shotgun (SBS). It would also be considered an Assault Weapon due to it being a Semi-Automatic Shotgun with a detachable magazine.
              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

It could be a pistol if they called it that. It has no method to fire from the shoulder nor is there any barrel length or OA length for handguns. CA barrel laws are exactly the same as Fed 16" rifle and 18" shotgun. By Fed law a rifle must he at least 26" overall. CA has a law they must be 30" if a semi auto or it is an AW.
This gun fails because CA does not allow handguns that fire shotgun shells. Like the Taurus Judge.

Thank you to all the responses.
So based on the length (under 26) and the fact that it is semiauto I guess it is not legal at all.
It could be argued it is not a shotgun due to not being able to be shouldered as mentioned in the California definition, but even so a pistol that can shoot shotgun shells is not allowed.

Bummer. Seemed like a fun toy.

Thank you once again to all

If you just want a toy get this:

If you have it converted to an AOW it would be legal to own in CA.
