How about being backordered and not even knowing it? I was hoping to have my 20 MOA riser by this weekend. Ordered from SWFA last Friday. Called them today only for them to inform me that it was backordered.

My lanworld order (for an MMG and a few other accessories) is attempting to go slower than the abolishment of the AWB. I predict receiving my MMG the day after the AWB is shot down.

Not here yet. Have been busy with a lot of other stuff so it helps me not to think about it a lot. Called at the 3 and 4 month mark like they said. Last time I called they said it should be here or shipped by June 30th, so soon I hope!

Last time I talked to LMT their backorder was about 12-18 months.

Yea I have just been reading a lot more today than I was lately and I found out that if mine does come in at the end of this month through the FFL I will be pretty lucky.

I ordered a custom MGM .357 Magnum Contender barrel, four weeks delivery advertised on the website, after ordering, notified six weeks or more.
Needed brass for above barrel, ordered 500 rounds of brass from Starline 5-23-09, website said backordered until 6-03-09, no biggie, no barrel yet.
Checked website, first backorder backdate 6-15-09, waited, checked website on 6-15-09, now moved back till 6-29-09.
Checked website last night, now backorder moved to 7-30-09. UGH!!!!!!!!!
I checked Midway, and they expect Winchester brass in stock 6-27-09.
I'm going to put in an order with Midway and see what happens.
I've had good luck ordering things through Sinclair International, a bit more expensive, but if an item is backordered, it's shipped for free, or VERY low cost.

Ordered an upper from RRA back in November 2008. Not here and I actually don't even want the thing anymore. If it does show up, I'll probably end up selling it.

I've got an upper on backorder from LMT, since just after the election. Since I am starting to see LMT stuff showing up here and there, so I am hoping they'll get my order filled sometime this year.

My current backorder PITA is with Cabela's. I ordered a bunch of in stock ammo for some of the hunting calibers I have in April. After that order was submitted I noticed they were flogging Magtech .357 in bulk. Too late to add to my original order, I jump on.... backordered to late May. Okay, I say, I can wait.

Over the next couple of weeks I get several e-mails notifying me that the backorder is stretching. Okay, I say, I can wait.

About this time we found a suspicious charge on one of our credit cards. Checked it out, wasn't us. Bank cancels card and re-issues.

Flash forward to first week of June. We discover that our home phone line (not the DSL but just the phone) is messed up and we aren't getting any inbound phone calls to the house. We get it fixed. Then a letter from Cabela's shows up.... says the credit card was declined, they tried to call, no answer. Well no kidding, the phone line was out. The goods are there, but they can not hold my order in precedence, so please call.

I call them, explain, give a new credit card number. I ask if it is going to go on backorder again. Lady on the phone says, "I don't know". Next day I get an e-mail.... backordered to the first week of July.

Nothing against Cabela's... they did everything right. It's just a perfect storm of backorder purgatory.

I ordered 10-rnd mags for EAA Witness Match directly from EAA in March. A couple of weeks after, having not received them, I called EAA and was told that they didn't have those in stock and were waiting on a shipment from Italy, which they get every 30 days. It was "in stock" on their site though. Alright, so it was backorder after all, fine.

So, in early June (yes, not exactly 30 days) I get an email from EAA saying that they received the mags and they're in stock now; and asking me if I still want them ("please, reply to this email to confirm"). I replied to it saying that yes, I still want them. A week after that I get an email from EAA saying that, as they haven't heard from me, my order has been cancelled.

I called them, and it was straigntened out (I hope). We'll see when/if I get them though. For all I know, with their attnetion to detail I might get the ones for some other model, or get a backorder notification the next time I call (if I don't receive them).

I just received some PMC .45 that I ordered through Cabelas in March. the day it was suppose to ship they had a problem charging it (not sure why). So I call them and they get it processed and shipped the next business day.

The best part was just yesterday I recieved the same letter BigDogatPlay recieved. The post mark was the day AFTER I RECEIVED my order. Oops.

The worse part was that when I ordered it said 1 week backorder... LOL

Same here, I've just received the ammo I ordered from Cabelas in April. It was in stock on their site, then I got the backorder notification a few days after I placed the order, with the availability date in mid-May. Got a fw more of those delay notifications, with the final one saying 7/13. Well, I got the shipping notification last week, a month prior to that. Go figure
