Thank you all for sharing your knowledge and experience. Along with reading the other thread with pictures of duds, I’m convinced.

Saw Geco 124gr brass for 33cpr this morning. Good quality ammo showing up more and more at better pricing.

I would require a good discount from retailer pricing to buy private party, or know the seller. Aka don’t see paying more than 25cpr from pp for ball 9mm currently.

Those are great prices compared with the 70cpr those LGS want.
Im Not paying 33cpr just yet.

To each their own, but i personally won't be trusting reloads ever again most likely. Got a Kriss Vector pistol a few weeks ago that I was really excited to shoot. Picked up a bunch of reloads from a "reputable commercial brand" (LAX Ammo) which the seller told me are known for good quality reloads. Seller seemed genuine and I didn't think twice about his claims. Fast forward two weeks, and I nearly blew my hand off destroying my new Vector because of a squib round.. Had no idea it was even stuck in the barrel; just noticed that rounds weren't chambering no matter how much i tried to.. Very scary and Very real experience that I'm glad I went through.. Learned a huge lesson that day. I keep the round on my desk to remind me of what could've been.. and I'm very grateful that my negligence and naivety didn't lose me any of my fingers that day.

I ran into a guy that bought a bunch of LAX reloads. He also had a bunch of squibs so they refunded him his money and let him keep his order which was 1000pcs. So he shoots those carefully.

But if you bought it from a 3rd party then maybe all bets are off...

Everything I've heard leads me to believe LAX Ammo has horrible quality control when it comes to their reloads.

All reloads are not created equally. I have also heard that LAX ammo is some of the worst, at high prices too!
