    Uzi - assault weapon arrest

Enterprise email delivery and unified MarTech for major publishers and Fortune 500 brands. See why we have industry-leadi...

It would be interesting to know if the Uzi found with the Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark is one without a maglock, or otherwise CA non compliant.

Any one with more info on the gun?

Will he walk because he is an NFL star? He probably has the deep pockets to get a good attorney to get him out and avoid him a real sentence. You and I would be in jail and get a felony.

    (Sorry if dupe)

What a dumb siht. Had he kept his vehicle equipment in proper order, and obeyed traffic laws, likely he would have avoided the issue. Yea, front license plates suck. But it is what it is.

The 1 plate wording in the law is in reference to motorcycles which only get 1 plate issued as well as tractor-trailer trucks that only need the front plate since they almost always have a trailer behind them with it's own plate.

Regular automobiles and trucks under 16,000lb gvw all get issued 2 plates.

I and most people I knew didn't attach front plate the 58 years I was in CA. Many don't here in Utah either.
Never cited or even stopped for it.

We bought a new dodge in 2017 after registration they shipped only one plate. They have never issued another and we have never been stopped.

Non-tractors over 16,000gvw all get issued 2 plates.
It's only tractors that are primarily used for towing that only require the front plate.
Many of those have plates in back too though depending on their state of licensing's specific laws.

                      Commercial vehicle registration.
If you put a cover on the bed, you can register it as a non-commercial truck instead with commensurate lower registration costs and they will issue 2 plates.

Absolutely not a commercial registration. Mini van bought new at a large local dealer that processed the registration when we bought it.

Saw this the other day. It appeared to be hard mounted that way; not a slip.

                            In California?
If so, that's just prison labor for you...

Our 2021 Toyota SUV purchased between Christmas and new years of 2020 got two CA plates issued in January 2021.
