Maybe they picked up some rounds on the secondary market to sell to customers, and someone sold them a box of reloads. Hopefully at least you got some cheese curds while you were in town

No, I would not shoot any of them. Talk to Rich and have him exchange it for a real box of that stuff...

You got the box of assorted 380, it’s like a box of chocolates.

They weren’t shot before, just chambered in a gun that doesn’t have a firing pin safety.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

the gun store probably took the ammo in from a customer in a trade without checking the contents, then put it on the shelf for resale.

Exactly. There have been a few threads about the possibility of regular people selling their unwanted ammo back to a FFL, and most of the responses are that while they could, most won't because it's too much liability upon the FFL. This post perfectly illustrates that liability.

And I agree, the primer marks are from chambering in a gun with a floating firing pin or lowering the hammer on a gun with a positive firing pin

This is usually what ammo unloaded from street guns look like.

The ammo I find on the ground at the range have dimples on the primers. People are playing tap and rack and forgetting to pick up their expensive (current rate) ammo. I still find plenty of .22lr on the ground too.

Does the store sell ammo on consignment? They could’ve taken it from another customer.

Stores usually don't take ammo back. Ask me how I know ?
I always bring my reading glass when buying ammo, now.

Does anybody need 50 rds of American Eagle .327 rds?
