YES gun laws work!
They do exactly what they are intended to do; act as serendipitous sound-off by elitists to the tune of fundraising quips in political ad campaigns, courting those who don't own a gun, never owned a gun, don't ever want to own a gun, never have fired a gun, have no use for a gun, don;t want YOU to have a gun, and don't like guns, except for maybe when they want their militant governmental support to be the only beings with guns out of some perverse elitist NeoSocialist agenda.
Just ask the likes of Mike Feuer, Paul Koretz, Phil Ting, or Leland Yee - all career carpet-baggers who built their political campaigns around attaching their name to useless anti-2nd Amendment legislation merely for that reason alone.
They did not give one wit if any of their concoctions were "effective" in any other way than to tap into the emotionally driven ignorance of those who want to see America steeped in some socialist nightmare, the very kind that Ayn Rand warned of in 1957.
So yes... they work quite well.
