I'd save at least a couple of receivers. If Sleepy Joe & his handlers get their way, you may be coming back to a country with a national AW ban.

Where to keep them? Friends or family may not be comfortable holding full-sized rifles, but they may be willing to hold a package the size of a shoebox for you. Or, if you maintain a bank account, consider a safe deposit box to store them in.

Right, it's not like you have to make 2 trips 10 days apart. Hand it to shop owner, he squints at it and tries to run the price down
Why would he have to make two trips, ten days apart. Maybe everyone you've dealt with in CA is an a**h*** but not everyone here is. I called on the phone, told them what I had, they gave me a number and when presented with the item, we made the deal, for what was quoted over the phone. (It is a price range after all) I received the high end, because my stuff was what I said it was. Maybe that's where you ran into the problem you seem to be eluding to.

Yep, gotta find a dealer with an AW permit to consign them for you.

Are yo so sure that if and when you return to this country, you will be able to buy replacement ARs? The next 3.5 years will be a doozy.

Thanks for the many suggestions guys. Sorry I was not responding. Didn't get notifications after the first couple of replies.

They are not anything rare or antique. An LWRC AR-15 and a UTAS XTR-12 shotgun.

The thought of just selling off the uppers had occurred to me, but I am not sure what the demand is for uppers right now.

Or maybe pay to maglock them and sell that off ?

Anyway, have to think some more. thanks again.

Any trustworthy relatives out of state who can hold onto them?

Who knows what will be allowed when you return to America.

Unfortunately, no I have no one who would be willing to hold on to scary weapons.

OTOH if they're banned while he's out of the country, he can't do anything about it.

Not to burst your bubble but those two firearms are not special outside this state.

Some rare FN Fal/Daewoo K1 ....etc... but a couple ar based rifles? Woop dee doo

Is a Juggernaut Hellfighter Mod Kit still sufficient to convert an AR for deregistering ?

That seems easy enough and would make it easy to sell off here once the deregistration comes through.
