i posted an “i’ll take it” on someone’s WTS ad and the seller decided to put that he would be at a san diego gun shop with the parts in hand after i had posted that i would buy it so i left negative feedback. just a few minutes ago, he left negative feedback for me. he never contacted me to make arrangements to meet in person, but is claiming i made him drive to san diego. can mods can see my private messages and verify??

You should not have left a negative feedback if you did not have an agreement to meet.
"I'll take it" means next to nothing without an agreement by both parties to meet.

Since you had no agreement to meet, seller seems to have given you a retaliatory rating, not one based on him driving anywhere without your agreement.
(I read the link, something seems to be missing or seller made a strange decision.)

Giving you a negative without confirming you are available and agreeable to meet sounds fishy.

Report this thread and the posts with the red triangle and ask the mods. to handle it.

Did you two have a mutual agreement to meet with time and place?

Did you just decide to tell him to meet you somewhere without coordinating?
If yes, you are dead wrong and that is not how this site works.

Seller never posted no shipping thus putting criteria in place after being contacted by the buyer, left retaliatory feedback with no cause other than to harm the potential buyerand frankly was a bit of a jerk in the PMS.

Buyer made an offer in good faith but never made solid arrangements so negative was not warranted.
