Aero or Spikes are my go-to. Andersons are fine if those are not available. Palmetto state armory if buying online. Just depends on how much money you want to spend IE: Aero M4E1 lower ($100) vs Noveske N4 Gen 3 Billet ($300) (I'd go for the cheaper option for the lower, spend the extra money on the barrel, BCG, handguard, trigger or optic).

You'll need a time machine if you want $37 ones.

              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Actually cosmetic blem stripped lowers were in stock for that $37 price very briefly on May 4, 2021 on the Anderson site.

So actually what you need is not time machine, it’s better handle on how to shop for deals online

I bought a bunch of Anderson's because there was a groupon and my employees discount at Cabelas got me stripped lowers for $25.

Been shooting the heck out of them with not one single problem.

I didn't know Mega went out of business. That's a bummer. Maybe I'll go pick up the Maten matched set from my local shop before it's gone.

All my AR-15 lowers are Aero and Spikes. LR-308 lowers are Spikes, Windham Weaponry and Mega, and they're all great quality. Can't go wrong with any of them, and IMO there's no good reason to pay a premium for anything fancy.

My doctor was telling me about an AR15 stripped lower that he won in a contest.
He said it was made by Franklin and was worth about $300.00!
                        What??
I checked Franklin's site and sure enough it was about $275.00.
It is made from a billet, rather than forged.
                        Wow!

If I remember correctly there is only 8 manufacturers of lowers and they make them for the other suppliers. I have a ton of Anderson's and they are GTG. I have an Aero too, it is more of a deluxe unit with several upgrades.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

There's only about 8 companies that make forgings, many more make lowers.

The real secret is the forging.
