I visited my local Turner's (Roseville) for some fishing gear last weekend. The firearms section was pretty bare. Just a handful of expensive shotguns and bolt rifles on the wall while the handgun displays were 95% empty.

Gun market still WAY overheated---prices sky high here in California on both guns and ammo!

Yep. Had my dump at 5am this morning while looking at the ridiculous ammo prices.

It's stabilized , but prices are way higher than they were before the coof.

Prices seem normal in other states. Inventory still low though

I think the lack of available on-roster models is keeping us artificially high

Well, the Dodgers seem to be headed back to suck city, so that feels normal...

Just hold off. It's the only way to fix the madness.

When you can find them, guns are getting more back to normal than ammunition is. Bought a used Sig P320 the other day for $580. Went to buy some extra rounds for it and decided to wait on those because they were still high at $45 for a 50 round white box of 115gr target fodder.

I popped into a few gun stores during the last couple weeks. AZ, TX, NM. Still not much ammo. Didn’t look at any firearms.

One pawn shop in NM had a decent supply of .223 & 5.56. But he sheepishly admitted the $1+ per round was probably why he had stock. F that.

Mostly normal prices around here for guns, ammo is still overpriced at most stores. Plenty of inventory of all types of guns, but some models are priced higher than they were before, not sure if that's a permanent change. Time will tell.

Not too recent but I went to a gun store back in March only because I needed to have a Glock 34 at a normal price. Lots of long gun consignments, no black rifles, handgun counter was sparse. I was given a chance to purchase a 50 round box of ammo during pick up. $35 for blazer aluminium. I politely passed. I cant imagine its any better now.
