Yep.......was a clean shot; he slumped back into the hole; all I had to do was reach in there and pull him out. There was another one I nailed last week but it wasn't as clean a shot. He got away and ran into the tunnels. The only reason why I knew I got him is because there hasn't been any new activity for a week.

              Ok I will play...

Pullnshoot your Sheridan .20 Cal was nice to shoot but I prefer my first childhood rifle of choice... the original has sent over 200+ souls to varmit heaven. I bought this one a few years ago to relive the nostalgia from my youth...

"License to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote." -Carl Spackler
The DAISY POWERLINE 880...(IMHO the BEST rifle under $40 that I have ever fired! )

              Caliber: .177

              Weight: 3.7 lbs.

              Overall Length: 37.6"

              Ballistics Report: 10 pumps

Ammo: .177 Cal Beeman Crow-Magnum Pellet

              Maximum Velocity: 750 FPS

Here is the first kill from my new Daisy a (Rodentia Geomyoidea)
AKA: The Gopher @ my friends house destroying his sisters garden. Shot was about 25 feet out and he kept popping his head out of his hole until one well timed shot dropped him straight down back into his burrow. My friend was so amazed he fished him out and then posed him on the lawn for the victorious camera phone pics....

Entry wound shot where the pellet entered and penetrated just below the ear through to the other side where the skin was visibly streched but with zero over penetration the varmit absorbed all the energy the .177 delivered... one shot one dropped... -1 Gopher DOA... Get some, get some!!!

You gotta give them away here in California. It is illegal to sell game animals you take. Of course you can always trade them for hunting access...

I just got some new arrows and mated them with 125gr G5 game heads. This rabbit's abdomen might as well have been a suit! Notice the brown patches on my lawn, those are from rabbit urine and pellets.

                              I love rabbit hunting!
