    Pest Control Pics

So I am on a roll right now for taking back my yard from pests. I have lost 6 pea plants, 6 bell pepper plants, 6 okra plants and a pumpkin plant to rabbits, my back yard is infested with squirrels and the gophers have taken out at least 15 of my tomato plants. Enough is enough and I have am now reaping souls with extreme prejudice. On top of poisoning and traps, I should get my yard back in good order. Plus, a garden fence is in the making. I HATE RABBITS!

I will start this thread with my pics and let you guys add your own. This should be fun!

Squirrel from today. He left his head up just a little too long.

Next to my Cold Steel Gunsite II for size comparison.

    Rabbit from 2 nights ago.

    Rabbit from 3 nights ago.

    OK, lets see your photos!

Sheridan C9 .20cal. I use the standard Sheridan 14.3gr cone pellets on anywhere from 6-8 pumps, depending on time and distance.

Hey I have the same gun in .20 as well, that rifle is so bad *** isnt it? I dont know why but I think .20 kicks more *** than .22 in a pellet rifle. To me its that happy medium. Is that a peep sight you have on your rifle? If so where did you get it?

.20 FTW! It is a happy medium and unfortunately a bastard calibre but man, it lays down the authority! Don't underestimate the .177 though, I have put down crows with one shot at 30 plus yards and it does a phenomenal job at it too! I also love the Sheridan platform, it gives me everything I need. It is a little loud but the variable power levels make it all worthwhile. 3 pumps for chicken heads, 2 pumps for rats and 6 or 8 for rabbits or squirrels... Love it!

That is a Williams peep sight and it can be purchased through crosman's website. Kind of expensive but well worth it. I take out the fine peep for night time rat or rabbit hunting and it is just a great sight. I have stopped many a heartbeat with the standard sights but the peep makes it just so much more accurate!

Sounds like something I need to get..I was kept up all last night because of some birds that were whistling and chirping like they were in the tropics, it literally sounded like being in the jungle in Hawaii!

It was driving the whole neighborhood crazy...

Hopi, did you hit all the bunnies with the .223? What distance, and did you eat the little fellas?

Truly pest control. These were all over my buddies carrot farm. Most of them were hit with the Mini-14, 1 or 2 of them with a .22 lever gun. Most were within 30-50 yards. The Jack was about 200 yards out and running, I hit him from the top of a cliff overlooking a wash....

They were given to the owls and yotes as a treat.....

That's what I do now, it is too much trouble to gut them.

I need to find a farmer with a pest problem! I have a bow, .22mag bolt gun with a scope, my 10/22 and Sheridan, I am good for anything from rats to coyotes!
