A Place To Shoot - Saugus - Rant

Went to A Place To Shoot today, got there around 1pm. Was informed that they are going to close at 2pm today due to Easter, I said the website said 3pm. Response was "the boss called and said to close at 2". I'd like to talk to said "boss".

Did not pay, did not shoot, wasn't worth 1 hour.

That's the second time in the past 4 months that this has happened. Website says shortened hours, then the staff decides to cut another hour from it.

Find a new place to shoot. You probably are going to have to, anyways; as if sounds like this place is going of business soon.

It would be better if they just closed for Easter and told everyone up front

Don't understand why business can't post holiday hours on their website or on social media (Facebook, Instagram ect..)

If the website says it, you honor it. Leave them bad reviews and don’t go back. I’m sick of sh*t service everywhere.

How about just go early? I'm not a 7:00AM guy, but if you got there by 10:00AM or 11:00AM, you'd have been fine. You could still sleep in a little and get there with plenty of time to shoot.

Probably should call first, for any holiday, no matter what business. I agree about the website, and trust is fine - but verify - always.

How many times have we heard that about anything in life?

Me, I tend to trust nothing until verified.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

                Laughable; and not likely.

The least they could have done was to let you in for the last hour for free.

I checked their website and they had a notice for Easter that they'll be closing at 3pm. Was informed that "the boss called" and said they'll be closing at 2pm when I got there.

I was there yesterday. I asked what their hours were going to be for today and told closing at 3:00 as well. But they definitely aren’t going to be closing up shop anytime soon, that’s for sure.

That place has been around longer than I have. You should call them first...and get there earlier. Also, it's Easter

I used to live close to a Place to shoot and used the range frequently.
While its a nice place and has good ROs they do close it down early on every holiday.

Go early or stay away on those days and disregard whatever you are told or what the website says, they will close earlier.

I used to visit it when in LA, but lately, I don't have to go to LA anymore and A Place to Shoot is about the only thing I miss about that. Good place, good people. I also stay away from gun ranges on holidays and weekends.
