It can be. Just needs a small area removed. New HKs are much worse to fit.

There are very specific requirements on the roller guns. Some manufacturers add more metal than needed so cutting is not an issue. PTR is drop in. Nothing needs to be cut other than a little on the module.

It was always my understanding that altering the receiver on a Form 4 gun was a big no-no. That's why they made Uzi put the rail in on the Model B, so you couldn't drop full auto bolts in. They had to slot their bolts to get around it and those damm things ran way too fast because of the metal they removed.

Also why RDIAS buyers need a low shelf lower, because they're not allowed to mill out the lower.

I think if he knows I have any intent of dropping in a trigger pack, he cannot. I think he has to reg it as a dealer sample before even he can drop in a trigger pack unless it's 100% drop in/drop out.

BTW, that gun I mentioned sold in about a week, even in this one horse town. But then the store also managed to sell about 8 boxes of .338 Lapua ammo for $125 a box too. Pretty crazy given that there is no place to shoot long range anywhere near here.

Even weirder the store got in a handful of 6.5 PRC ammo. Weirder because they have no rifles in that cartridge. At least they had a .338 Lapua rifle. Anyway, I got one box only because of their "1 box per day" rule, yesterday. Today the other 5 boxes were gone.

Crazy, given that this is a no collar/blue collar town.

How does the PTR compare to the Zenith/Century gun? I got an email advertising them, and I must admit, they look pretty cool with all the extra crap that's included, plus a thousand bucks cheaper than the Century.

Drop-in trigger pack is a feature I can fantasize about I guess. Even if I had 30 grand to buy one I can't see myself spending it on this.

I’ve got the ptr 9r and I think it’s great and it cost my $1650 compared to the $3000 for the century model. I’m a fan of ptr because I also have a ptr 91 and that also runs great only the factory trigger on that has some slop to it but it’s easy to find trigger packs for that. I wouldn’t hesitate to pick the ptr 9 up over the century.
