      This is 100% false

So I've put my featureless grip on but that didn't do anything to make the mag drop. It's just a new grip on my rifle.

Is there a video anybody can link me on what to do or could somebody explain because this is my first gun ever and I rather work on it myself so I can get used to the ins and outs.
Where are you located? Your DD didn't come with a standard mag release. No matter what you do you won't magically be able to drop the magazine in a standard fashion until you install a standard mag release which you for sure shouldn't do until all the other prohibited features are removed.

Nicely written. And as an addition to clarify the terms for CA residents:

A RAW is a registered assault weapon prior to 1989.
A BBRAW is a RAW that was registered by July 1 of 2018.

Difference being that it is the general agreement that the bullet button cannot be removed from the weapon even though it has the same restrictions of a RAW. I believe you can de-register the weapon if you make it featureless or magazine lock by officially doing so on the same CADOJ system.
