Hilarious Ammo Anecdote

This happened to me the other day. I wonder who else has experienced something similar lately:

Early AM getting ready for work. Jump online to see if any ammo is available (99% futile)

9mm new brass pops up. Expensive (like $32 a box) with 99+ available.

I add a full case of 20 boxes to my cart and then log in.

My cart now has only 14 boxes

I enter my CC info and submit.

"Sold out" 0 boxes

All of the above transpired within a matter of 2-3 minutes.

I got super lucky twice last week. Monday morning, I walked into Academy Sports and walked out with 5 boxes of 9mm and one box of .45 ACP. Thursday, I scored 2 (200 rounds ea) boxes of 5.56, one box of .38 spl and two boxes of .45acp. Both times, the clerks said they just got their shipment broken down and put out. Best part was they weren't pandemic pricing. $15.95 for the 9mm, $17.95 for the .45 at Academy, $17 for .38, $89.99 for the 5.56 and $21 for the .45 at Cabela's.

Also,. Orscheln (like a Tractor Supply) had 5.56 PMC bronze for $9.99/20 but I was there with my parole officer to pick up chicken feed.

Ammo supply is increasing daily and the prices are also dropping daily.
If people wouldn't panic buy every time it goes down a few cent's, the situation would get better a lot faster.

Should start a new discussion on when to start restocking personal stash. My personal threshold would be when a box of 50 9mm 124gr is below $13

I was buying 9mm for $8.99 a box before the crazyness came. About$175.00 per thousand at my door. Those days are gone. Want something done wrong, put the Gov. on it.
