Um sure, the OP is playing the really ~long~ game— joined CG five years ago, has about 2k posts ...so that just now he(?) can slip in this one thread to collect secret squirrel information about CG members’ off-roster purchases.

I paid twice retail on several of my Off-roster pistols.

I spent a lot more on ammo over the years feeding them.

With the Covid/Biden premium all guns are fetching off-roster premiums it seems...

I'm of the school that off roster carries no premium. It's just a gun and there are several on the list that will do the same thing.
Most insane are the Gen4 and up Glocks. Really no life altering changes but people lining up to pay twice the value. It was like buying an Olds or Buick instead of a Chevy. Same parts just wearing a little different dress.

Flawed poll. Needs options for 25% or 50%. No way I'm paying 100+% for an off-roster gun.

Lets face facts on this. Everybody has they're limit (of what they are will to be fleeced for)

Deep pockets, well that's mostly obvious they would be "likely" to pony up more than most.

That said, for me, I can't justify, a 100%+ mark up. (can't feel good, about screwing myself)

Now for the right HG (this is subjective) I might (maybe) go to 50%.

This will only be for what I want, not what the seller has to offer.

              I'm looking for:
              Beretta M9A3 FDE
              E-Z comp model
              No Glocks

I have yet to encounter the off roster gun that I was willing to absorb the premiums for

If you're looking for a basic tool, you can get one that is on the roster - it makes no sense to pay premium for a basic polymer gun used for self defense or carry.

If you're looking for a premium gun, the prices are so inflated that you can get the next-level up gun for what you'd pay in premium and many full custom guns can be imported. It's a no-go too.

So, I would be willing to pay the nominal premium for something that is a regular gun, or I will spend money on getting fully custom guns at this time.

It depends is the answer because I don't have a static number. If you asked me in 2019 if I would pay $1,100 for a glock I would have laughed at you. In 2020 I sold my used XDS for $925 and got a new Glock 48 for $1100. I think it was well worth the $175 upgrade cost. I also sold HST for $100 a box, that funded a new G45 for $1050, 11 boxes of HST was fair trade to me, I paid about $17.50 a box for the HST. I'm very happy with both my trades.

Lol, selling ammo for 5x the pre covid cost is a “trade” when you are the seller

Congrats on that, go capitalism, etc etc
