Well, I've been writing, donating, and rattling politico's cages since the early 80's. Even before the Internet with pen a paper.

At this point, I doubt it will happen in my lifetime.

Its possible it could happen.. If Democrat gun owners wise up and start to vote to conserve the Constitution not destroy it.

But- that's not likely to happen.

Democrats have a hard time with reality and even though Democrat gun owners knew that Biden and his minion's would come for their guns. they voted for Biden/Harris anyway..

When gun owners stop eating their own when ridiculous laws get enforced. The myriad of threads on this forum alone saying the average joe getting arrested or penalized for something which isn't a crime in another state should tell you why we lose the 2A debate. Gun ownership needs to be popular in American culture. Not just amongst the political right but amongst Americans in general, and it has become stereotyped too hard into being only for old, bigoted, and uncaring white men. I know that's a stupid position to hold - but that's how a lot of people perceive gun owners, that or the Dwight Schrute esque gun nut.

Laws are a reflection of the attitudes of the populace. Popular support for AWBs has been dropping nationally for years. The last year of lockdowns and riots has shocked folks, and demand for all sorts of guns is very high.

Back in 2013, during senate hearings post Sandy Hook for a proposed national AWB, Lindsey Graham was on TV saying that he had an AR15 in case of riots and it was national news...
