Have gun stores returned to normal

I'm too old to wait in lines and all that other BS. Other than lack of stock issues have gun stores returned to normal? In other words, can I walk in and place an order and then walk in again and pick up what I ordered -- when it eventually does arrive? It seems like forever since I've been in a gun store and when I've driven by there are long lines. But I understand that may be changing.

OK. The silence speaks ... so as my freedom day approaches I need to start doing drive-bys!

      Depends on the store.

Are we talking turners , ammobros ? Or a RifleGear/Rifle Suppy type of business

I used to go to Turners (everyone called me by my name) and Ammo Brothers, mostly. I'm still a member at Evans so maybe that's my best option.

Fowler's is blocks away from my office. They used to know me by name as well. I started with Fowler's then started using Turner's more and more

From what i have seen in the last few weeks.Walser's in Torrance has a sign up sheet and only 1 custmor in at a time(did a PPT).Ammo-not much. OC guns had several people in line and only letting 2 people in at a time. Gun Fighter Tactical had a line and was also letting only a few people in at a time but it went quick. Then went by Martin B Retting. They askd me if i had an appointment I said i was only here to get some cleaner,...." Well you need to make an appointment""...

Argh! I'm an old man! This is killing me! Looks like Evan's may be my best shot.

Private range seems the best shot. Thank you all for your input.

This is just an idea, but why don't you go down to your local gun store and find out.

I'm not so much concerned with what is "in stock" as I am with the ability to get in and get out to place an order. I figure that someday the order will be filled. If it is within my lifetime its a good day. If not, I'm in a better place so I really don't care.

Went to my LGS on a Sat. afternoon, had to wait in the parking lot about 20 mins. before they would see me. Go back on a weekday just before closing, I'm next and out the door I was in under 10 mins. with my new shotgun.

Some of the new Henry sidegates, Savage 110 ultralight, Hellcat optics ready are a few of what I would like.
