There is little to no profit for sporting goods stores to carry firearms and ammunition. It is more or less a loss leader to bring customers to the store in hopes of them purchasing other items. Heck..we have more fishing merchandise stolen then actually sold, that department isn't to profitable at all. The real money for the company is in fitness, apparel and footwear.

In THIS market? Eight months of runaway sales and empty shelves and months-long manf backlogs. Your statement is complete nonsense.
