It was me and a brass picker dude on Monday up in Sac. Had the range to myself for 2.5 hours, haven't seen that in almost a year.

I have gone every week since August 2020. Never crowded in Alaska or Arizona ranges.

556 ammo is $11 for a box of 20 rounds. So ammo is still at pre COVID prices. I can’t even imagine the bs prices folks in California are forced to pay. F that noise.

no idea on weekdays at burro, but when i last went on a saturday mid-jan there was enough people there to be at least 50-75% capacity on the public line.

there was 1-2 private ranges that was just filled to the max, with what is possibly a training class. rest of private bays that i did see had people.

Pre covid prices, 6 to 7 for a box of 556 in CA. Less when you buy in bulk.

you see less of the younger crowd because they didnt stock up

the people you see now are usually middle aged or older and have been shooting for a while, veterans of the sport, guys that stocked up on ammo & reloading way ahead.

We had an incident of duck hunters robbed of their firearms and ammo by two thugs in the past week. One hunter was shot. One thug captured.
