I only take postal money orders.

edit: Is this on gunbroker? Buyers will often put their FFL on the site and you can print it out if you want. I always make contact with the FFL anyway.

Venmo or wire. Do not even consider using PayPal. They are majorly anti firearms.

Venmo is a good way to get ripped off, *do not use venmo with strangers*

Venmo is probably the very least safe method to receive money in a transaction for goods.

I always take a copy of the receiving FFL with me when I ship via the USPS. The clerks uniformly have no idea of the regs so I take a copy of them also. I have a C&R FFL so I take that too. Sometimes they want to tape the receiving FFL to the box but I am able to stop that by pointing out the regs which prohibits that. Be prepared for push back from the postal clerks but be polite and point to the regs. I had one P.O. refuse to accept the shipment and the postmaster backed them up saying it was a 'personal thing' whatever that meant. I just went to another P.O.

Unless you are shipping the rifle only a state or 2 away, I almost guarantee usps is not the most cost effective.
