    Bersa Firestorm Magazines

I was looking to get at least one more (only comes with one) magazine but the OE are $35, gees. I see Promags for $19 but I have heard they are junk, not necessarily for this pistol but many complaints about the 1911 and others they make.

I only have OE mags for all my guns except for PMAG's for AR's. Is there something decent out there or should I just get the OE?

IMO $35 isn't that much for an OEM magazine.

FWIW, I have 3 ProMags for my FM-90 that have been perfect.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

If ur only gonna get one... just get the OEM 9 rounder with grip extension.

I have a promag and I got lucky because it Functions fine but it's a 7 rounder. Get a stack of promags if ur gonna do a lot of drills or something.

What about Mecgar magazines. They make mags for other manufacturers and I can get 2 shipped for about $60.

I bought promags for my Bersa Thunder. They all caused failures. Very embarrassing during CCW class.

Dumped the Promags and bought factory mags. Now my Bersa runs flawlessly.

MecGar are excellent, you should get 8 rounders for that Bersa. Factory 8 rounders also should work. Don't know why the supplied mags are 7 rounders (maybe a NY compliant thing?), but I used 8 round mags in my Bersas when I had 'em, worked fine for me, Firestorm, Thunder, and CC.

ProMag seems to have a mixed reputation when it comes to magazines. They make some nice 10/22 stocks...

I also bought some ProMag magazines for my Firestorm 380.
              Not reliable.
I can always expect at least one round to hang up.
              Very frustrating.
              Go OEM.

Is better reliability worth $16 to you?

I purchased an OEM magazine through Bersa importer. Order processing was a bit slow, but item finally arrived and worked well.

Both (original and new spare) magazines fed ammo well and are nearly identical. The price of the spare needs to be increased to allow for shipping.

OEM or MecGar. They might be one and the same anyways.

ProMags suck. I popped one into a Sig, then found out the mag release hole was in the wrong place, had to remove the slide and pound it out with a dowel.

Tried another ProMag on a HK. It'd drop out the bottom with each shot.

I have one of the 10 rounders and it works well. Just can’t remember if it’s a Promag of a Mecgar....
